Tollywood icon Allu Arjun is commemorating a significant milestone as his blockbuster film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' completes a triumphant year at the box office. The actor, overwhelmed by the audience's love, has shared an emotional note of gratitude for the entire team behind the cinematic phenomenon.
An Unforgettable Cinematic Journey
Taking to his official social media platform X, the 'Stylish Star' poured his heart out, describing the five-year journey of the Pushpa franchise as nothing short of transformative. He stated that the experience was life-changing for everyone involved.
In his post, Allu Arjun wrote that Pushpa was an unforgettable chapter, and the immense affection from the audience provided the team with strength and courage to delve deeper into their craft. He expressed eternal gratitude to fans across the country and beyond for elevating the story of Pushpa Raj to a cultural phenomenon.
Honouring the Pillars of Pushpa's World
The actor made sure to extend his heartfelt appreciation to every individual who contributed to building the gritty world of red sandalwood smuggling. He credited the vision of director Sukumar as the cornerstone of the franchise's success.
His gratitude extended to co-star Arya, the producers, distributors, and every artist and technician who dedicated their skills over the long haul. Allu Arjun's message underscored that the monumental success of Pushpa was a collective achievement of this dedicated unit.
The sequel, 'Pushpa: The Rule', continues the saga of Pushpa Raj, a labourer who rises to become a powerful smuggler, only to face formidable enemies. The film features an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, and Rao Ramesh.
The Shadow of a Tragedy and a Promise of Support
Amidst the celebrations, a somber note remains related to the film's premiere events. A year ago, a stampede triggered by an unpermitted visit from the actor during a 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' premiere led to a tragic outcome.
The incident resulted in the death of 35-year-old Revathi and left her 8-year-old son, Sritej, with critical injuries. Recent reports indicate that while the makers had promised an ex gratia of Rs 2 crore, the child's father, Bhaskar, has revealed ongoing financial struggles to sustain his son's treatment.
A video shared by a fan page shows producer Dil Raju meeting with Bhaskar and his brother. In the update, Bhaskar thanked Allu Arjun and producer Bunny Vasu for their crucial help, stating his son's recovery so far is because of them. He highlighted that Sritej now requires extensive rehabilitation, which demands further financial assistance.
Bhaskar mentioned he has communicated this need to Dil Raju, who assured him that the necessary support would be arranged for the child's continued medical journey.
