What Anil Kapoor Revealed About the Climax Scene
During a special event hosted by Radio Nasha in 2024, Anil Kapoor revisited cherished memories from the making of 'Taal'. Recalling a particularly memorable incident, Kapoor described how Ghai's instinctual approach to filmmaking created a unique collaborative environment.
"The climax monologue was scheduled to be shot the next day," Kapoor revealed. "I told him, 'I'm not coming tomorrow. You aren't giving me the scene.' He knows me so well that he said, 'Theek hai. Mat aa' (Don't come)."
The actor further elaborated on this exchange, explaining his subsequent dilemma. "I woke up the next day and decided not to go. But I was worried about what would happen if I didn't go to the shoot. I also feared that 'Kahin scene alteration kar ke dialogue Akshaye Khanna ko na de de' (What if he alters the scene and gives my dialogue to Akshaye Khanna)."
Despite his initial hesitation, Kapoor eventually arrived at the sets around 12:30 p.m. "He was relaxed because he knew I was coming. We must have finished the scenes in 2-3 hours," the actor shared, highlighting the deep mutual trust and understanding that characterized their working relationship.
