Bigg Boss 17 Contestant Anurag Dobhal Critically Injured in High-Speed Crash During Instagram Live
In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the entertainment and social media communities, Bigg Boss 17 contestant and popular YouTuber Anurag Dobhal, widely recognized as 'UK07 Rider', is currently battling for his life after a devastating car crash on Saturday night. The 28-year-old influencer was live on Instagram with more than 80,000 viewers when his Toyota Fortuner violently collided with a divider on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway near Dasna, Ghaziabad.
Livestream Captures Distressing Moments Before Impact
The tragic sequence unfolded during a live broadcast where Dobhal appeared visibly distressed and emotionally overwhelmed. Viewers witnessed him expressing feelings of isolation and making ominous references to what he termed a "final drive." In a particularly heart-wrenching moment, he addressed his mother directly, stating, "When I return in the next birth, please give me love." The background played the Hindi song "jisko jo bhi milta hai" as the atmosphere grew increasingly tense.
Just moments before the catastrophic impact, Dobhal turned his camera toward the windscreen and speedometer, revealing the vehicle accelerating rapidly. The Fortuner suddenly veered toward the median and struck the concrete barrier with tremendous force, causing the SUV to flip multiple times and land in the opposite lane.
Police Investigation Points to High Speed and Possible Intent
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rural) Surendra Nath Tiwari confirmed that authorities received information about the crash around 10:20 PM. "He was traveling from Meerut toward Delhi when his vehicle crashed near Hawa Hawai restaurant, hit the divider, and jumped into the other lane. The car flipped several times," Tiwari reported. The collision was so severe that the vehicle was completely mangled, with wheels detached from the chassis.
Police suspect Dobhal was driving at an extremely high speed, possibly between 150-160 kmph. More alarmingly, investigators are examining whether this was a deliberate act of self-harm. "We suspect he deliberately turned the vehicle toward the divider to cause self-harm," Tiwari added, noting that a special team has been formed to analyze the sequence of events and review Dobhal's recent social media activity for clues.
Quick Response from Followers and Medical Emergency
By the time police arrived at the scene, Dobhal's friends had already transported him to Subharti Hospital in Meerut. One of his dedicated followers, Ashish Chaudhary from Mehrauli, Ghaziabad, was among the first to reach the crash site after witnessing the incident live. "As soon as I saw the crash live, I rushed to the spot with my friends. Some passersby were already trying to rescue him. We pulled him out of the mangled car and took him to the nearest hospital," Chaudhary recounted.
Dobhal's condition deteriorated overnight, leading to his transfer to a private hospital in Delhi on Sunday morning for advanced medical care. Police have stated they will question him once his health stabilizes, though his family has not yet filed any formal complaint regarding the incident.
Background of the Influencer and Recent Distress Signals
Anurag Dobhal, who hails from Uttarakhand, built an enormous digital following through his engaging travel, lifestyle, and biking content. Known for his energetic on-camera persona, he cultivated a loyal fan community called "Brosena" and amassed nearly 8 million YouTube subscribers alongside approximately 7.6 million Instagram followers. His content frequently featured family members, including his wife Ritika Chauhan, parents Chandrakala and Jagdamba, and brother Atul (known as Kamal Ink).
In the days preceding the crash, Dobhal had posted concerning content that alarmed his audience. On March 4, he uploaded a nearly two-hour YouTube vlog described as his "last video," recorded during what he called "deep mental distress" after five days without food. In the emotional footage, he accused his parents, brother, and his brother's girlfriend Shreya of ruining his life following his inter-caste marriage—Dobhal comes from a Brahmin family while his wife Ritika has Rajput heritage—and suggested he had been pushed toward "self-harm."
The investigation continues as authorities piece together the circumstances surrounding this tragic event, while fans and well-wishers await updates on Dobhal's medical condition.
