Bollywood Rallies Behind Rajpal Yadav in Rs 9 Crore Debt Case

Bollywood Stars Rally to Aid Rajpal Yadav in Rs 9 Crore Legal Battle

Renowned Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav is currently facing significant legal and financial challenges, culminating in his surrender to Tihar jail in connection with a cheque bounce case involving a staggering Rs 9 crore. Prior to turning himself in, Yadav made an emotional public statement, expressing his distress and isolation. "Sir, what should I do? I don't have the money. I see no other way out," he lamented. "We are all alone here. There are no friends. I have to deal with this crisis on my own."

Industry Solidarity Emerges After Surrender

Following Yadav's surrender, a wave of support has emerged from prominent figures within the Bollywood industry, who are now stepping forward to assist the actor in clearing his substantial debt. According to his manager, Goldie, several high-profile celebrities have extended their help. "A lot of people have reached out to help Rajpal Yadav," Goldie confirmed to Screen. "Actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgn have extended their support. I was just on a call with David Dhawan, he too reached out. Ratan Nain, Varun Dhawan… many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has deeply appreciated."

When questioned about whether Yadav had sought assistance before surrendering, Goldie declined to provide specifics, stating, "I would not like to comment on that." However, he emphasized the industry's collective response, noting, "The good thing is that after his situation worsened, the industry has stood behind him like a rock—and that should be appreciated. Everyone has made commitments, but such transactions don't happen overnight."

Optimism for Release and Financial Contributions

Goldie expressed hope for Yadav's imminent release, highlighting the actor's mental resilience. "Mentally, the family has to remain strong. Rajpal Bhai himself is very strong, and that strength runs in the family," he said. He also mentioned upcoming family celebrations in February, adding, "Everyone wants Rajpal Bhai to be out by then. Hopefully, he should be out by tomorrow."

Providing further legal details, Goldie revealed, "We have his bail hearing scheduled for tomorrow, and we are hopeful that he will be granted bail and released. The bail application has already been filed. We will be able to share more details after the hearing tomorrow."

Earlier, other public figures had already voiced their support, including Sonu Sood, Guru Randhawa, Gurmeet Choudhary, KRK, and music composer Rao Inderjeet Yadav. While most chose not to disclose specific contributions, Rao Inderjeet announced a donation of Rs 1.11 crore and publicly shared Yadav's bank details to encourage further donations. This appeal reportedly led to pledges from politician Tej Pratap Yadav of Rs 11 lakh and from KRK of Rs 10 lakh toward the cause.

The case underscores the financial pressures faced by actors in the entertainment industry and highlights the solidarity within Bollywood during times of crisis. As the legal proceedings continue, the community's support aims to alleviate Yadav's burden and facilitate his return to normalcy.
