Celina Jaitly Reveals Husband Gave Divorce as 'Gift' on 15th Anniversary
Celina Jaitly: Divorce Papers Given as Anniversary 'Gift'

Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has opened up about her painful separation from husband Peter Haag in a series of emotional social media posts. The actress recently revealed their split and has now shared disturbing details about the circumstances surrounding their divorce.

Divorce Papers Presented as Anniversary Gift

Celina disclosed that her husband handed her divorce papers under a shocking pretext. She explained that this happened in September, during what should have been a celebration of their 15th wedding anniversary.

"In early September, I was served a divorce notice by my husband," Celina wrote. "He presented it under the pretext of receiving a gift ordered for our 15th wedding anniversary at the local post office."

The actress described how Peter drove her to the post office himself, where she received the unexpected legal documents instead of a traditional anniversary present.

Allegations of Domestic Violence and Property Dispute

Celina has filed a domestic violence case against Peter Haag. She also revealed ongoing legal battles beyond their marital issues. The actress has petitioned the court to help rescue her brother, Major Vikrant Jaitly, who remains detained in the United Arab Emirates.

Upon returning to India, Celina faced another challenge. She needed legal intervention to access her own home. The actress claims she purchased this property before her marriage, yet Peter now asserts possession rights despite having no legal connection to the property.

Heartbreaking Separation from Children

Perhaps most painful for Celina is being separated from her three children. Despite having joint custody through an Austrian Family Court order, she currently cannot communicate with them.

"I am presently denied any communication with my three children, and I am heartbroken," Celina expressed. "There has been repeated interference with my children's access to me."

She detailed how her children face exposure to selective media narratives and alleged brainwashing attempts. Celina believes these efforts aim to turn her children against her, despite her lifelong dedication as their mother.

Escape from Austria and Financial Struggle

Celina recounted her dramatic departure from Austria on October 11, 2025. She left at 1 AM with neighbors' assistance, escaping what she described as systematic oppression and abuse.

"I was compelled to return to India with only a minimal sum of money in my bank account to navigate the rest of my life," she revealed about her financial situation after leaving Austria.

Attempts at Amicable Resolution Failed

The actress explained that she repeatedly sought an amicable separation after receiving the divorce papers. She prioritized her children's welfare above all else during these attempts.

"These efforts were met with demands relating to my premarital assets," Celina stated. "He presented unreasonable conditions intended to strip me of my freedom and dignity even after divorce."

Message of Support for Abuse Survivors

Celina concluded her emotional posts with a message for others facing similar situations. "This is for all the men and women who reached out with their stories of abusive marriages," she wrote. "You are not alone."

The actress emphasized her difficult choice to leave Austria, stating she did so to protect her dignity, her children, and her brother. Her revelations have sparked conversations about domestic violence and legal protections for women in difficult marital situations.
