In a video posted on her Instagram, the actress strongly condemned the actions that led to the frightening event. She revealed that the individuals responsible for the fire fled the scene quickly, leaving the local residents to deal with the dangerous aftermath.

In a detailed caption accompanying the video, Shah directly held the political campaign teams accountable. "I have got nothing to do with any political party," she wrote, "but when you hire teams to run campaigns for your elections, please make sure they have some common sense in them." She expressed gratitude that her building's committee had refused the campaigners entry to go door-to-door, a decision that now seemed prescient.

Daisy Shah did not mince words in her critique of the incident. She emphasized that bursting crackers next to residential buildings is unacceptable and pointed to a severe lack of civic responsibility. "This is what happens when people lack civic sense," she stated. "It ain’t a natural calamity; it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY… IT'S HIGH TIME."

In a follow-up comment, the actress highlighted the serious risks involved, hoping her experience would serve as a cautionary tale. "I sincerely hope that people understand the serious danger of bursting crackers roadside," she added. "This is a live example of doing so...seeing this happen right in front of my eyes was scary."

Following the widespread attention her post received, Daisy Shah later clarified her statement to news outlet NDTV. She affirmed that her intention was not to push any political narrative but simply to report the facts as she witnessed them. "I said what I had to say already," she explained. "There is no political agenda, nor am I trying to pin this on anybody. I stated what exactly happened."
