Daisy Shah Opens Up About Palash Muchhal's Wedding Fallout and New Film Collaboration
In the wake of the highly publicized cancellation of the wedding between Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana, Bollywood actress Daisy Shah has stepped forward to share her perspective on the situation. Daisy, who is set to work with Palash on his upcoming directorial project, expressed her hopes for the couple's reconciliation while emphasizing the separation of personal and professional matters.
Palash's Hesitation to Reach Out Directly Amid Controversy
Daisy Shah revealed that Palash Muchhal avoided contacting her personally for the film project following the controversy surrounding his personal life. She recounted receiving multiple calls from unknown individuals informing her about Palash's interest in casting her. "I got 2–3 calls from random people saying that there is a film that Palash is making, and he wants me to be a part of the film," she told Miss Malini. "I was thinking if Palash wants to speak to me, he will contact me directly, or he would message me through his sister Palak, so why am I getting a message from a random person?"
Given her close friendship with Palash's sister, Palak Muchhal, Daisy decided to take the initiative and reach out to Palash herself. "So, I happened to drop a message to Palash, asking about the same, and he said, 'yeah ma'am this is true, but because of the situation lately, I am not calling personally anybody because it might go on a different tangent altogether,'" she added. After this exchange, the two connected for a film narration, and Daisy agreed to join the project.
Maintaining a Neutral Stance: Personal vs. Professional Life
When questioned about whether the controversy made her skeptical about collaborating with Palash, Daisy Shah maintained a balanced and neutral approach. "I can switch off from personal life to professional life, and I don't think your personal life should affect your professional life," she stated. "First of all, I don't know what is the actual story. There are always two sides to a coin. We really don't know what went wrong because it is between two families; we are sitting here and judging from what we heard from the media houses."
She further elaborated on her stance, emphasizing the importance of not jumping to conclusions without full knowledge. "We don't know what is the actual truth, and that doesn't mean that I am nullifying the woman's side of the story. I'm just being neutral. Also, he contacted me on a professional level. So, who am I to even judge a book by its cover?" Daisy stressed that she prefers to avoid judgment and keep her personal views separate from her professional engagements.
Hopes for Reconciliation Between Palash and Smriti
Daisy Shah also shared her thoughts on Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana as a couple, expressing optimism about their future. "I hope everything gets well on both sides, and they come together because they actually make a lovely pair," she said, highlighting her desire for them to reconcile despite the current circumstances.
For context, Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were scheduled to marry on November 25, 2025, with pre-wedding celebrations already in progress. However, the wedding was abruptly called off just a day before the ceremony, initially attributed to the ill health of Smriti's father. Subsequent reports suggested that infidelity might have been a factor in the split. Both individuals later confirmed the cancellation via their social media platforms, adding to the public intrigue and speculation surrounding their relationship.
This incident has sparked widespread discussion in Bollywood circles, with Daisy Shah's comments shedding light on the complexities of navigating personal controversies in the entertainment industry. Her approach underscores a broader trend among celebrities to maintain professionalism while addressing sensitive personal matters in the public eye.
