In a refreshingly candid revelation, actor Gulshan Devaiah has opened up about his enriching experience of working with Samantha Ruth Prabhu on their upcoming film, 'Maa Inti Bangaram'. This collaboration comes shortly after Samantha's low-key marriage to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in Coimbatore on December 1.
A Fulfilling On-Set Atmosphere
Speaking to NDTV, Gulshan expressed immense satisfaction with the project's environment. He described working with Samantha as deeply fulfilling, especially notable as she rejoined the shoot just days after her quiet wedding ceremony. "It was a very good experience working with Samantha. I really enjoyed myself. She is wonderful to work with," the actor stated.
He further highlighted the positive contributions of director Nandini Reddy and Raj Nidimoru, who is also involved with the project. Gulshan emphasized the overall pleasant and collaborative atmosphere on set, marking it as a significant professional highlight.
Chemistry and a Long-Awaited Collaboration
Gulshan also shed light on the natural creative spark he shares with his co-star. He revealed that he had harbored a desire to collaborate with Samantha for a long time. "Sam and I have great chemistry. I knew the first time we met that we needed to be together in a film, and I told Raj sir also," he shared.
This wish materialized approximately a year after that initial meeting when the team approached him for Maa Inti Bangaram. Gulshan expressed his happiness at the opportunity, recalling how they reached out to him with the project, which he found compelling.
The Surprise Wedding and Views on Privacy
In a surprising admission, Gulshan confessed that he, like many others, was completely unaware of Samantha and Raj's wedding plans. He learned about the nuptials through media reports, as the couple opted for an intensely private ceremony. "It was a very private affair. None of us knew. It was none of my business also," he said candidly.
He even joked about his reaction upon meeting Samantha afterwards, saying he quipped, "You got married. Main do din idhar udhar jake aaya and tumne shaadi karli." He contrasted this discreet event with the highly publicized nature of most celebrity weddings, calling it "refreshing."
Concluding on a personal note, Gulshan shared his own perspective on celebrity privacy. He firmly believes that personal milestones like marriage or divorce should remain private. "In my case, my privacy is my privacy. I don't want it to be other people's interest," he asserted, while clarifying he wasn't judging others' choices.
Gulshan Devaiah was last seen in Kantara: Chapter 1, while Samantha continues her work on Maa Inti Bangaram, seamlessly balancing her new personal chapter with her professional commitments.
