Emotional Screening and Hema Malini's Revelation
Many people saw Dharmendra's sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, attend the screening of 'Ikkis'. They appeared emotional during the event. Now, Hema Malini has made a personal revelation. She confirmed that she has not yet watched the film.
The actress explained her reasons during a recent chat with Screen. She stated that she is still grieving Dharmendra's demise. Hema Malini said she will only be able to watch 'Ikkis' once she recovers from her sorrow.
"I came to Mathura when it was released. I have to do my work here," she mentioned. "Also, I can’t see it now, it will be too overwhelming. That’s what my daughters are also saying. Maybe I will watch it later when the wounds start healing."
Addressing Rumors About Her Bond with the Deol Family
During the same conversation, Hema Malini addressed recent reports about her relationship with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. She clarified all the speculations circulating in the media.
"It has always been very nice and cordial. Even today it is very nice," she asserted. "I don’t know why people think something is wrong with us. It is because people want gossip."
Hema Malini expressed frustration with the need to explain her personal life. "Why should I answer them? Is it necessary for me to give an explanation? Why should I? It’s my life. My personal life, our personal life. We are absolutely happy and very close to each other. That’s it," she said firmly.
She added, "I don’t have anything more to say about this. I don’t know what stories people are making up. So sad that people use other’s grief to write a few articles. That is why I don’t answer such speculation."
Coping with Loss and Moving Forward
Hema Malini also opened up about her current emotional state. She described dealing with profound sorrow following Dharmendra's passing.
"I was very deeply in sorrow, still that is there," she shared. "But trying to get out of it, because it is too much for me to take. I am strong, that’s what everybody says… I am strong, but sometimes you… I have to go on, I have to."
The veteran actress emphasized her resilience while acknowledging the difficulty of the situation. Her words reflect the personal struggle many face after losing a loved one in the public eye.
