The wait for the return of Queen Rhaenyra and the Targaryen dynasty is nearly over. Following the massive prequel series that captivated audiences since its 2022 debut, 'House of the Dragon' Season 3 will premiere on Sunday, June 21, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max.

Season 3 Release Schedule and Episode Count

Despite mixed reviews of the previous season's finale, anticipation remains high for what many expect will be a pivotal chapter in the ongoing civil conflict that forms the backbone of the series.

Plot Expectations for the Upcoming Season

While some plot elements remain undisclosed, the third season is expected to cover key events from the source material, such as the Battle of the Gullet and the escalating conflict between the two feuding branches of House Targaryen. As the series progresses, the war that has dominated the show appears to have taken on a life of its own, with no sign of abating.
