Hrithik Roshan's First Salary: Rs 100 for Aasha Dance

Hrithik Roshan is widely celebrated for his exceptional acting and dancing prowess, having carved a formidable reputation in Bollywood over the decades. However, his cinematic journey commenced far earlier than most fans realize, with his screen debut occurring at the tender age of six.

Early Beginnings in 'Aasha'

Hrithik appeared as an extra in a dance sequence within the film 'Aasha', marking his initial foray into the film industry. This early role, though minor, was a significant stepping stone in his career.

First Salary and a Memorable Purchase

During the making of 'Aasha', Hrithik Roshan earned his very first salary: a sum of Rs 100, paid by his grandfather, the renowned filmmaker J. Om Prakash. This payment was for dancing alongside the legendary actor Jeetendra in the film, which also starred Reena Roy and Rameshwari. The young actor cherished this moment and used the money to acquire 10 Hot Wheels cars, toys that were immensely popular among children at the time.

Rise to Stardom with 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai'

Hrithik Roshan eventually ascended to become one of Bollywood's biggest stars, often hailed as the "Greek God of Bollywood." His breakthrough arrived with the film 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai', which propelled him to overnight fame and solidified his status in the industry.

Childhood Film Appearances

Throughout his childhood, Hrithik continued to take on small roles in various films, including 'Aap Ke Deewane', 'Aas Paas', 'Aasra Pyaar Da', and many others. Notably, his performance in 'Bhagwaan Dada' is often remembered as a standout early work.

Reflections on Dance and Training

In a 2023 interaction with IANS, the 'Krrish' actor shared insights into his dancing journey. He admitted, "I've been terrible in partner work. I feel relaxed when it's just me, but when it's partner work, there is a certain synchronising and coordinating, there's beauty in that. I have never been able to achieve that. I am very fascinated with Ballet. Just the long lines, the expanse and flight of it."

He also recounted his experience training in ballet for the film 'Guzaarish'. Hrithik recalled, "I had the opportunity in Guzaarish to train in the dance form and it was an incredible experience. It was like a ball and I was holding the ball and swirling. During the take, I was not able to get three turns - you know, the pirouettes. Finally, after two hours, we had lunch, and then we tried again. In a single take, somehow it happened."

Recent Work and Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in 'War 2', directed by Ayan Mukerji. This film is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, following 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Tiger Zinda Hai', 'War', 'Pathaan', and 'Tiger 3'. Besides Hrithik, the film features Jr NTR, Ashutosh Rana, and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles.
