Newlyweds Janani and Sai Roshan Shyam Anticipate First Tamil New Year Celebration
Fresh from their recent wedding, actress Janani and commercial pilot Sai Roshan Shyam are eagerly looking forward to marking their first Tamil New Year as a married couple. The newlyweds have opened up about this significant milestone, discussing new beginnings and the profound meaning this year's celebrations hold for them.
Blending Traditions for a Meaningful Celebration
Janani expressed that Tamil New Year symbolizes a fresh start for the couple. "Tamil New Year marks a new beginning for us," she said. "My parents would traditionally keep a Devi the previous night and ensure we woke up seeing her face. Since this is Roshan's first time celebrating, I plan to incorporate this beautiful ritual into our celebration. I'm committed to embracing both our traditions every year to create a harmonious blend."
Sai Roshan Shyam shared his unique perspective, revealing that this celebration is particularly special for him. "I've never had the opportunity to celebrate Tamil New Year or Vishu in India because I'd usually be out of the country during this time," he explained. "So, this year is extremely meaningful as I not only get to experience these festivals but also celebrate them with Janani as my wife. It's a double blessing."
Navigating the Newlywed Phase with Joy
The couple reflected on their transition into married life, acknowledging both the excitement and adjustments involved. Janani noted, "It's still sinking in that we are husband and wife. To me, he remains my best friend. We are thoroughly enjoying this phase while learning to navigate the responsibilities that come with being newly married."
Roshan echoed similar sentiments, stating, "It's been a wonderful couple of weeks. I'm still acclimating to this new chapter, but we are relishing every moment of the process together."
Emotional Wedding Memories and Future Festivities
Recalling their wedding day, Janani shared a touching moment. "On our wedding day, I was a bundle of nerves but went with the flow of the rituals," she recounted. "When Roshan was about to tie the thali, he became a bit teary-eyed. I gently told him not to cry because I knew if he started, I would too. It was an emotional and beautiful moment we'll always cherish."
Looking ahead to the upcoming festivals, Janani highlighted the significance of the timing. "I'll be celebrating Tamil New Year with Roshan and his family," she said. "This is special because it will be our first festival as a married couple. Tamil New Year and Vishu are coming back-to-back, so it's going to be a double celebration. I'm particularly looking forward to enjoying Vishu sadhya with our family."
She also revealed that Vishu holds a sentimental place in their relationship history. "In 2024, during the early phase when we had just started talking and growing closer, Roshan was celebrating Vishu with his family in Muscat," Janani recalled. "I remember him vividly explaining how they conduct their celebrations. That memory makes this year's Vishu even more meaningful as we create new traditions together."
The couple's enthusiasm for blending their cultural backgrounds and creating shared experiences underscores their commitment to building a life filled with mutual respect and celebration of heritage.
