Actor and model Nupur Sanon, the sister of Bollywood star Kriti Sanon, is now officially married to popular singer-songwriter Stebin Ben. The couple concluded their lavish three-day wedding festivities with a traditional Hindu ceremony on Sunday, January 12, at the opulent Raffles Udaipur in the City of Lakes.
A Grand Celebration in Udaipur
The final day of celebrations was a vibrant affair steeped in tradition. The Hindu wedding rituals commenced with a lively baraat procession that set a joyous tone for the day. According to a source present at the wedding, nearly a hundred men holding traditional umbrellas accompanied Stebin Ben as he danced his way to the venue with his friends, creating a high-energy spectacle.
Following the baraat's arrival at the mandap, Nupur Sanon made an emotional bridal entry amidst stunning floral decorations. Both the bride and groom were adorned in exquisite custom-designed ensembles by celebrated fashion designer Manish Malhotra, adding immense grandeur to the occasion.
Rituals, Fireworks, and Star-Studded Guest List
The wedding pheras were conducted by Ankit Batra. Upon completion of the sacred rituals, the night sky over Udaipur was illuminated by a spectacular five-minute fireworks display. A beautiful shower of flowers followed, marking the ceremonial conclusion on a celebratory note.
The event was graced by several celebrities from the film and music industries. The star-studded guest list included names like Dinesh Vijan, Raghav Sharma, Varun Sharma, Mouni Roy, Rohit Dhawan, Disha Patani, Tejasswi Prakash, and Karan Kundrra. The festivities extended late into the night with electrifying live performances by legendary singers Sonu Nigam and Sukhbir, who kept the guests dancing.
The culinary experience matched the event's opulence, featuring an elaborate spread. Guests enjoyed multiple chicken and mutton delicacies, global desserts, and international cuisines including Japanese and Asian fare.
Pre-Wedding Festivities and Christian Ceremony
The grand Hindu wedding was preceded by an intimate Christian ceremony held on Saturday, January 11. This white-themed sundowner event saw Nupur and Stebin exchange vows in a dreamy setting. A cocktail night followed, featuring performances by B Praak, Sagar Bhatia, and DJ Chetas.
The three-day celebrations had kicked off on Friday with a traditional haldi ceremony and a boho-themed sangeet night, ensuring a complete and diverse wedding experience.
Newlyweds Share First Pictures and Engagement Story
After becoming husband and wife, Nupur and Stebin shared beautiful pictures from their ceremonies on social media. They posted visuals from their Catholic wedding on January 11, followed by stunning snaps from the traditional Indian wedding on January 12.
One particularly touching picture from the Hindu wedding shows Kriti Sanon holding her sister Nupur's traditional head ornament as Stebin applies vermilion. The couple captioned their joint post in Hindi, which translates to, "You are my peace of yesterday, and my peace of today!"
Nupur looked radiant in a red lehenga with intricate gold embroidery, paired with a matching dupatta and floral garland. Stebin complemented her perfectly in an ivory sherwani with a turban and a soft peach stole. Other photos captured intimate moments, including Stebin kissing his bride on the forehead.
The couple, who had been dating for a while, made their relationship official earlier this month with a romantic yacht proposal. Stebin went down on one knee as performers held up "Will you marry me?" placards. Sharing the moment, Nupur wrote, "In a world full of maybes, I found the easiest YES I've ever had to say," showcasing her marquise-cut diamond engagement ring.
