Rakesh Roshan Denies Rajat Bedi Villain Role in Krrish 4, Confirms Hrithik's Directorial Debut
Rakesh Roshan Denies Rajat Bedi Casting in Krrish 4

Speculation linking actor Rajat Bedi to a villainous role in the upcoming superhero film Krrish 4 has been officially quashed by veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. Rumours had been circulating online since October 2025, but the director has now provided a firm denial.

Official Clarification Puts Rumours to Rest

When contacted for clarification, Rakesh Roshan directly addressed the buzz, stating the news is completely false. "The news of Rajat Bedi acting in Krrish 4 is all false. There is no truth to any rumours," Roshan told Hindustan Times. This statement puts an end to months of online conjecture about Bedi's involvement in the much-anticipated project.

The clarification arrives at a time when there is renewed interest in Rajat Bedi's career. The actor made a notable comeback to the screen with the 2025 film The Ba***ds of Bollywood. While he is reportedly in talks with major studios for projects planned for 2026, his journey does not include a return to the Krrish universe, contrary to what many fans had speculated.

A Historic Connection and a New Chapter

Despite the current non-involvement, Rajat Bedi shares a significant history with the Roshan family. He previously appeared in Rakesh Roshan's iconic 2003 film Koi... Mil Gaya, playing a character with moral ambiguities. That film, of course, served as the foundational first chapter for the entire Krrish franchise.

While one door has closed, Krrish 4 is generating immense excitement for a landmark reason. The fourth instalment will mark the directorial debut of superstar Hrithik Roshan, who has portrayed the superhero in all previous films. His father, Rakesh Roshan, directed the earlier movies in the series.

Hrithik Roshan Steps into the Director's Chair

Rakesh Roshan announced this significant milestone in March 2025 via an emotional Instagram post. He wrote, "Duggu, 25 yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra and myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4." The post expressed his blessings for Hrithik's success in this new role.

The film is currently in the pre-production phase and is scheduled to go on floors in early 2026. Hrithik Roshan will once again don the cape to reprise his iconic role, but this time with the added responsibility of directing the film. This dual role makes Krrish 4 one of the most eagerly awaited releases in the history of Indian superhero cinema.
