Sambhavna Seth Opens Up About Emotional Rollercoaster with Salman Khan

Bhojpuri cinema star and former Bigg Boss contestant Sambhavna Seth, known for her candid personality, has shared a deeply personal story from her career involving Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The incident, which she recently revisited, left her shocked and emotionally shaken, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry.

High Praise on Bigg Boss Stage

In an interview with Hauterfly, Sambhavna recalled a moment during Bigg Boss Season 4 when Salman Khan had just begun hosting the popular reality show. Former contestants were invited back to perform, and she was among them. "I remember sitting there when Salman Khan pointed at me and said, ‘This girl killed it.’ When a superstar praises you like that in front of everyone, it means a lot," she recounted. The praise was amplified when actor Ravi Kishan introduced her to Salman, highlighting her achievements in Bhojpuri cinema and her exceptional dancing skills.

Salman responded positively, acknowledging her talent and even offering direct contact for work discussions. "He told me, ‘Take my number. You don’t need anyone in between. No one will come in the middle, you can come directly to me.’ I thought that meant I had finally got work," Sambhavna said, describing the initial excitement and hope this interaction sparked.

A Shift in Tone and a Painful Comment

However, the situation took a turn when she was called back to perform again. The show's makers encouraged her to interact with Salman in the same bold manner that had made her popular as a contestant. She complied, but sensed that Salman might not have appreciated her outspoken attitude. "I think Salman Khan didn’t like it because he doesn't like females who speak very boldly or strongly, that’s what I felt," she explained.

After the shoot, Sambhavna waited for a follow-up call that never came. She decided to approach Salman herself, finding him irritated and tired, possibly due to an eye problem. When she brought up the earlier discussion about work, his response was unexpected and hurtful. "He said, ‘I think you need to lose a little weight.’ His tone had changed," she revealed. The comment left her shocked, as she felt it was unrelated to her talent or potential for work.

Emotional Aftermath and Continued Respect

The remark deeply affected Sambhavna, leading to an emotional breakdown. "After I left from there, from Lonavla to Mumbai, I only kept crying. Aapka dil tootta hai because I wanted to make my parents proud," she shared, expressing her disappointment. Despite the pain, she emphasized her ongoing respect for Salman Khan, stating she remains a fan. She took a year off, lost weight, and tried to reconnect, but received no response.

This incident underscores the challenges faced by artists in the film industry, where praise can quickly turn to criticism. Sambhavna's story serves as a reminder of the emotional toll such experiences can take, even on established performers.
