Famed actress Shoshana Bean has finally received her long-awaited Tony Award. After being nominated twice previously without winning, Bean officially graced the stage at the 2026 Tony Awards to accept the award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
Shoshana Bean Scores Her First Tony Award
As the awards ceremony took place over the weekend, Bean was called to the stage to accept her award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. The star won the accolade for her performance in 'The Lost Boys', where she played the role of Lucy Emerson. In her acceptance speech, Bean gave a heartfelt shoutout to her family members, crediting them as one of the reasons behind her success. She said, “It’s the most singular gift of my career. I will never stop screaming about how special this combination of humans is.”
She further stated, “This is for the incredible army of women that surround and uplift me. This is for every woman who ever felt like she was too much or not enough. I beg you not to wait for permission to be all of who you are. Take up space, make your own path, make mistakes, make messes, make new things, be free, be loud, be brave, and stay [bleep].”
'The Lost Boys' marked her big return to the stage and earned her a Tony Award, after she had lost out on two prior nominations. Bean is best known for her work in 'Hell's Kitchen' and 'Mr. Saturday Night.' She beat out several other talented candidates, including Hannah Cruz, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, and Nichelle Lewis.
