Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood made a special visit to a cattle shelter in Gujarat this weekend, drawing large crowds and making a significant donation to support its cause.

On Saturday, January 11, Sonu Sood arrived at the Varahi Gaushala located in the Santalpur Tehsil of Patan district in Gujarat. The actor, known for his humanitarian work, spent time at the shelter feeding cows and engaging with the officials managing the facility.
A substantial local crowd gathered to see the popular star, whose enthusiasm visibly delighted him. He took the opportunity to commend the villagers for their dedicated efforts in animal welfare.
Praise and a Substantial Donation
Addressing the event, Sonu Sood expressed his admiration for the community's work. "The contribution of the entire village and the trustees of the gaushala are praiseworthy. I would love to visit the place again and even have food at your home," he told the attendees.
Speaking to the media, the actor shared his pride in the gaushala's remarkable journey. He revealed that the shelter, which began with only a few cows, now cares for an impressive seven thousand cattle.
"When I see their journey, which started with just a few cows and has now reached seven thousand, it's a matter of great pride, not only for us but for every person in every village," Sood stated.
To ensure the institution's vital work continues, the actor announced a generous personal contribution. He donated ₹11 lakh through his Sood Charity Foundation to support the gaushala's operations.
"I can't do as much work as they do, but from my side and from our foundation, we have also contributed ₹11 lakh so that this amazing work continues," he explained. He further expressed a desire to see the model of cow protection practiced there implemented across India.
