Vivaan Shah Shares Heartwarming Memories from Happy New Year Sets

Vivaan Shah is currently enjoying positive feedback for his performance in the new film Ikkis. The actor recently sat down for a conversation with IANS. During this chat, he reflected on some special moments from his earlier work.

He specifically recalled his time on the sets of the popular Bollywood film Happy New Year. Shah shared delightful anecdotes about working with two industry giants.

Learning Dance from Farah Khan with Patience

Vivaan Shah told IANS about one of his most cherished memories. He described director Farah Khan teaching him how to dance. Shah humorously admitted to being a hopeless dancer.

"Some people say I have two left feet. I actually have three left feet," he joked. Despite this, Farah Khan and her team showed immense patience. They worked tirelessly with him on the dance routines.

Shah expressed his gratitude for that training. He revealed that the skills he learned on that set proved invaluable later. In his recent project, Ikkis, he had to perform several dance and lip-sync sequences. The foundation from Happy New Year made that possible.

"That's the funniest memory I have," he said. "Her teaching me to dance and her team struggling with my hopelessness as a dancer."

Earning Shah Rukh Khan's Praise Through Dedication

The conversation then turned to another iconic co-star. Vivaan Shah spoke about working with the legendary Shah Rukh Khan. He mentioned that SRK tried to help him during the filming.

Shah revealed a pivotal moment for him. He managed to impress Shah Rukh Khan not with natural talent, but with relentless hard work. He acknowledged that he lacked technical dance ability at the time.

"I could not impress them with my ability or my technique because I did not have any," Shah stated frankly. "But hard work earned me his praise."

He recalled a specific day when SRK acknowledged his effort. "Shahrukh sir said that you have been working very hard and I am very glad to see that," Shah remembered. The actor was diligently practicing his dance moves with Khan, repeating them again and again.

Shah believes he ultimately won the approval of the entire team. He considers this a significant achievement, especially coming from Shah Rukh Khan. "That's a huge thing coming from someone like Shah Rukh Khan who himself is a very hard worker," he added with respect.

Vivaan Shah's stories highlight the importance of perseverance in Bollywood. They offer a glimpse into the supportive environment on the set of a major film.
