Rhea Seehorn Joins Apple Studios Film 'Running' Cast

Actor Rhea Seehorn, recognized for her performances in "Better Call Saul" and "Pluribus," has been added to the cast of the upcoming Apple Studios film "Running." Directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque, the movie follows a homeless high school running prodigy who uses his athletic gifts to overcome his past and find a sense of belonging.

Plot and Cast Details

The narrative centers on a young homeless runner striving for greatness while grappling with a troubled history. O'Connor described the project as "an underdog story about the human spirit." He elaborated, "I started thinking about building a story around a homeless kid who doesn't have a place in the world. No love. No friends. No family. The only home he knows is the streets. It felt like a great place to begin a character's journey and tell an underdog story about the human spirit." Seehorn joins previously announced cast members Spike Fearn and Brian Tyree Henry.

Seehorn's Recent Work

Seehorn's latest project is the series "Pluribus," which began streaming in 2025. In it, she portrays Carol, a cynical romance novelist who becomes one of the last immune humans after a mysterious RNA signal from space turns the rest of humanity into a perpetually happy hive mind. The series also features Karolina Wydra, Carlos Vesga, and Miriam Shor.
