AAP MP Sanjay Singh Alleges Corruption in Ram Temple Donations, Submits Proof to SIT
AAP MP Sanjay Singh Submits Proof of Ram Temple Donation Scam

Lucknow: Responding to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's appeal for evidence, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Friday submitted documents to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing alleged theft of donations at Ayodhya's Ram Temple. Singh claimed the documents highlight corruption by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Concerns Over Investigation

Singh raised concerns about the probe, questioning how Trust general secretary Champat Rai was given a clean chit before the investigation concluded. He alleged the government is trying to cover up the scam.

Land Purchase Allegations

Displaying documents, Singh alleged that Rai purchased 14,730 square meters of land in Shahnawazpur Majha from Alok Bansal, Manish Bansal, and Shivani Bansal for about Rs 55.47 crore, while the actual value was Rs 9 crore.

Singh further alleged that the Trust acquired around 3,500 biswa of agricultural land in Majha Barhata village, near the Teerth Kshetra, at Rs 4.40 lakh per biswa. In contrast, he claimed that in Shahnawazpur, located farther from the site, Rai purchased land from known individuals at Rs 47 lakh per biswa.

Singh vowed to hand over more documents to the SIT and demanded a thorough investigation.
