Gujarati Singer Aditya Gadhvi Visits Ambaji Temple Following International Success
Gujarati singer Aditya Gadhvi recently visited the renowned Ambaji Temple in Gujarat after his devotional song 'Albeli Matwali Maiya' achieved significant international recognition. The temple administration warmly welcomed the singer, who participated in various religious rituals during his stay at the sacred site.
'Albeli Matwali Maiya' Reaches Global Platforms
'Albeli Matwali Maiya' has become one of the most celebrated devotional songs from Gujarat in recent years. Dedicated to Goddess Amba, the track has resonated with audiences across regions and communities. Its popularity extended beyond India when it was considered for the Grammy Awards in the Global Music Performance category.
Aditya Gadhvi Credits Goddess Amba for Success
During his visit, Aditya Gadhvi attributed the song's success to the blessings of Goddess Amba. He offered prayers at the temple and expressed hope that the goddess would continue to guide and protect people across the country. Speaking at the temple, he told ANI, "Jai Ambe. I have come for the darshan of Mother Amba. Mother Amba's grace has been on the whole of Gujarat and the whole of India. By bowing at the Mother's feet, I just want to pray that she continues to bestow her grace and mercy on all of us."
Gadhvi also spoke about his long-term vision for Gujarati music and literature. He said the recognition received by 'Albeli Matwali Maiya' has strengthened his determination to showcase Gujarat's cultural heritage to international audiences. He shared, "I am delighted to share that our song, 'Albeli Matwali Maiya', reached the Grammy Awards and was nominated. At that time, we vowed to come and offer our prayers at Mother Amba's feet, to bow to her and ask for continued inspiration. Our goal is to take Gujarati music, our folk culture, and our literature to the global stage."
Apart from Grammy consideration, 'Albeli Matwali Maiya' also secured a major international honour. The song won the Best Global Traditional Song award at the World Entertainment Awards held in Los Angeles. Gadhvi added, "Furthermore, our song won the 'Best Global Track' award at the WOW Awards held in Los Angeles. This success is entirely due to the Mother's grace. May her blessings continue to shower upon all of us, throughout Gujarat and all of India."
