AMMA Conflict Escalates: Shweta Menon Refuses Further Comments on Ansiba Hassan Complaints
AMMA Conflict: Shweta Menon Refuses Further Comments

The ongoing internal conflict within the Malayalam actors' association AMMA has taken a serious turn after president Shweta Menon stated that she does not wish to make any more public comments regarding the complaints raised by actress Ansiba Hassan. Speaking to the media, Shweta Menon reportedly maintained that the issues inside the organization would be addressed internally. The AMMA leadership is now attempting to prevent the matter from escalating further ahead of the association's upcoming general body meeting.

Ansiba Hassan Files Complaints Against Tiny Tom and Others

According to Mathrubhumi reports, Ansiba Hassan has submitted two separate complaints connected to the ongoing controversy. One complaint was reportedly filed with the Home Department and the police against actress Lakshmi Priya and Tripunithura woman Sub-Inspector Reshma. The second complaint was submitted against actor Tiny Tom before the AMMA executive committee.

In the complaint addressed to the Home Department, Ansiba allegedly claimed that the woman Sub-Inspector insulted her while questioning her at the police station regarding an earlier complaint filed by Lakshmi Priya. The issue later expanded into a larger internal dispute within AMMA after disagreements emerged regarding how to handle the complaint against Tiny Tom.

AMMA Asks Ansiba Hassan to Appear Before Committee

The AMMA executive committee had reportedly informed Ansiba that the matter involving Tiny Tom could be discussed and resolved internally through the organization's existing system. As part of the process, Ansiba was asked to appear directly at the AMMA office with supporting evidence between June 1 and June 3. However, the actress reportedly rejected the proposal and expressed a lack of confidence in the current executive committee handling the matter.

Instead, Ansiba demanded that an impartial panel examine her complaint. She also suggested Ramesh Pisharody, Mala Parvathy, and Dhyan Sreenivasan as members of the proposed committee. Reports further suggest that Ansiba requested consultation regarding any replacement if the suggested members were unavailable.

Show-Cause Notices Issued to Four Members

The latest developments come shortly after the AMMA leadership reportedly issued show-cause notices to four members connected to the controversy. Apart from Ansiba Hassan and Tiny Tom, notices were also sent to Kuku Parameswaran and Lakshmi Priya. All four members have reportedly been instructed to appear before the leadership between June 1 and June 3 to explain their positions regarding the ongoing dispute inside the organization. The executive committee is understood to be trying to contain the situation before it develops into a larger legal or police-related issue.

General Body Meeting Expected to Address Issue

Reports suggest that AMMA is unlikely to accept Ansiba's demand for a separate neutral committee. Instead, the complaint against Tiny Tom may reportedly be placed before the organization's general body for discussion. The AMMA general body meeting is expected to take place later this month and could become crucial in determining how the association proceeds with the dispute. Meanwhile, Shweta Menon has continued to maintain that the problems inside the organization should be resolved internally rather than through public confrontations.
