A 25-year-old woman in Bengaluru has filed a complaint against a 28-year-old man she met on Snapchat, accusing him of rape. The accused, a private company employee, was arrested by the police.
Incident Details
The woman, who lives alone after separating from her husband, told authorities that she connected with the man a few months ago through the social media platform. They exchanged phone numbers and continued communicating.
The accused allegedly assisted the woman in finding accommodation at a paying guest facility. On Tuesday evening, he reportedly took her to a lodge in Bhuvaneshwarinagar. The woman claimed that despite her objections, the man sexually assaulted her.
Legal Action
Following the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused. Further investigation is underway.
