British actor Matt Smith has revealed that his approach to playing Prince Daemon Targaryen in HBO's 'House of the Dragon' has been to push the character to the edge and explore whether he can return from that brink. Smith, best known for his role as the Eleventh Doctor in 'Doctor Who', said that Daemon is most compelling when he is under extreme pressure.

In an interview with PTI, Smith explained his creative process. 'My aim with the character has always been to push him as far as possible and see whether he can find a way back,' he said. The actor noted that Daemon's unpredictability and volatility make him fascinating to portray. 'He's most interesting when pushed to the edge,' Smith added.

Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother of King Viserys I, is a central figure in the 'House of the Dragon' series, which is set 200 years before the events of 'Game of Thrones'. The character is known for his martial prowess, ambition, and contentious relationship with his brother.
