Daveigh Chase, best known for her role in 'Lilo and Stitch', passed away earlier this week due to complications from meningitis. The news shocked the industry, initially reported by her partner, Roy Hernandez. However, new allegations have emerged that Chase's family did not know Hernandez.
Former Manager's Claims
TMZ reported a statement from Chase's former manager, who claimed that her family does not know who Roy Hernandez is. This came after Hernandez set up a funding page, where he called Chase the 'light of his life' and wrote about her difficult childhood and falling out with her family. He stated, 'When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved.'
The former manager countered, 'Neither her family nor her close friends know who this person is. I can confirm Daveigh has a SAG trust account with more than enough funds to cover all medical and related expenses.' They urged people not to donate to the page, asserting that no one from her life is aware of Hernandez.
In response, Hernandez stated he would use the money to give her a proper memorial.
Details of Daveigh Chase's Passing
In his funding page, Hernandez provided details about her final days, mentioning that she developed blood infections and her condition became critical. He wrote, 'All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy.'
