Duffy Announces First Concert in 15 Years After Revealing Rape and Kidnapping
Duffy Announces First Concert in 15 Years

Welsh pop singer Duffy, known for her 2008 hit "Mercy," has announced her first live performance in over 15 years. The singer revealed on social media that she will hold a secret intimate gig in London on July 5, 2025. Fans must apply via a ballot for a chance to attend, as the venue has a small capacity. Duffy expressed excitement to perform both old and new songs.

Duffy's Disappearance and Harrowing Revelation

Duffy, whose real name is Aimee Anne Duffy, last performed at the O2 Arena in London for Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball in 2010. She then vanished from the public eye, leaving fans puzzled. In 2020, she disclosed the traumatic reason: she was drugged at a restaurant, kidnapped, and raped, then held in a foreign country. The ordeal left her feeling suicidal. She wrote, "I thought the public disclosure of my story would utterly destroy my life, emotionally, while hiding my story was destroying my life so much more."

Upcoming Documentary

A documentary about Duffy's life is in production, chronicling her rise from Wales to pop stardom and the events that followed. It marks her major return to the screen since 2010.
