The statement was posted on social media following the end of their relationship after about a year of dating. At the time, Musk attributed the split to challenges posed by busy schedules and long-distance commitments.

Musk later opened up about the breakup in an interview with Rolling Stone. "I was really in love, and it hurt bad," he said. He added that the separation occurred during a critical period for Tesla as the company prepared to launch the Model 3. "It took every ounce of will to be able to do the Model 3 event and not look like the most depressed guy around," Musk said.
According to the interview, Musk had been dealing with "severe emotional pain" for several weeks before the launch event. Musk has often spoken about the challenges of balancing work and relationships. He reportedly works between 80 and 90 hours a week and divides his time across multiple companies.
Musk's Dating Life and Past Marriages
In a previous interview with Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Musk said he wanted to spend more time dating despite his demanding schedule. "I would like to allocate more time to dating, though. I need to find a girlfriend," he said. The entrepreneur has been married twice. He was first married to writer Justine Musk, with whom he shares five children. He later married actress Talulah Riley in an on-and-off relationship.
Elon Musk Seeks Long-Term Relationship
Despite his busy schedule, Musk has repeatedly said he values companionship. In the Rolling Stone interview, he said he does not enjoy being alone and is interested in finding a lasting partner. "I'm looking for a long-term relationship. I'm not looking for a one-night stand. I'm looking for a serious companion or soulmate, that kind of thing," Musk said.
