Mimoh Chakraborty, the actor from the 'Haunted' franchise, recently shared how his outlook on life and career has transformed over the years. He revealed that time, experience, and personal growth have made him more focused and responsible. Reflecting on his early days in the film industry, the star kid admitted that his view of success was different when the first 'Haunted' movie was released. Today, he sees accomplishments as just one part of a larger journey, where each achievement brings fresh challenges and new goals. His priorities have shifted significantly; instead of dwelling on success, he now concentrates on what lies ahead.
Success Means Greater Responsibility
Speaking to IANS about the response to 'Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past', Mimoh credited the audience for the film's success. He emphasized that artists must keep pushing themselves creatively. Sharing his thoughts, Mimoh said, "When the first Haunted came, my answer would have been different. Today, it's about what's next? What do we do next? Because we all know the journey of Echoes of the Past. We know that we had to put this in front of the people. And today the success is because of the audience. But as actors, as filmmakers, it's about what do we do next? I think I just go home and just go back to my pajamas and go pet my dogs and spend time with my wife. I think nothing has changed. Nothing should change. It's I think success makes you more responsible."
From Brash to Responsible
Mimoh also candidly discussed how his personality has evolved over time. He acknowledged being far more impulsive during the early stages of his career. Maturity has helped him develop a more measured approach to both life and professional decisions. He now prioritizes long-term growth over immediate achievements. Reflecting on this transformation, Mimoh shared, "And I think I've become more responsible now. Back then I was brash, but today I'm more responsible. Today I'm like, OK, I've done this. We have achieved this. What do we achieve next? What do we try to achieve? I think that's where I am today."
Haunted Franchise Remains Important
Mimoh began his acting career with 'Jimmy' in 2008. He later gained recognition through 'Haunted - 3D', which introduced stereoscopic 3D horror to Indian cinema. The actor has remained closely associated with the franchise over the years. His latest film, 'Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past', continues that journey, revisiting the supernatural world that audiences first experienced more than a decade ago. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film was released in theatres on June 12, 2026.
'Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past' features Chetna Pande, Gaurav Bajpai, Hemant Pandey, Shruti Prakash, and Praneet Bhat in key roles alongside Mimoh. The movie also reunites Vikram Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, and Anand Pandit after their collaboration on '1920: Horrors of the Heart'.
