What Is 'The Gray House' About?

'The Gray House' is an eight-part historical spy thriller based on true events set during the American Civil War. The series focuses on a women-led team of spies headed by Elizabeth Van Lew, operating under harsh wartime conditions. The story revolves around three women—played by Daisy Head, Mary-Louise Parker, and Amethyst Davis—who played pivotal roles in turning the war in the country's favor.

Vereen, who stars as a railroad conductor, shared his approach to the role: "When I was approached with this one, I had to really sit back and think about how I would approach him because he's not Chicken George. He's a conductor in the Underground Railroad, and I think that's an important story that has to be told."
