Actor, writer, and producer Pallavi Chatterjee, recently seen in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter and set to appear in The Revolutionaries, paid an emotional tribute to her mother, Ratna Chatterjee, on Mother's Day. Remembering her, Pallavi said, 'She was very strong and at the same time a strict mother. She was a woman of substance who had a lot of courage and self-belief. She was spiritual and religious.'
Lessons from Her Mother
The daughter of veteran actor Biswajeet shared the biggest lesson she learned from her mother: 'My mother taught us one thing — take life as it comes and adjust in any situation you are in. Never ask anything from anyone.'
Love for Cooking and Caring
Pallavi recalled her mother's passion for cooking and caring for others. 'She loved to feed others. I guess I got this trait from her,' she said.
Understanding Sacrifices
The actress admitted that she truly understood her mother's sacrifices only after becoming a mother herself. 'I wish I would have told her more often how much I love her. I wanted her to love me back always,' she shared emotionally.
Motherhood as a Lifelong Celebration
Calling motherhood a lifelong celebration, Pallavi added, 'Every day is Mother's Day as we should never forget that our life is a gift from our mothers.'
Bond with Her Daughter
Talking about her bond with her daughter, she concluded, 'My daughter has now become my mother. She is the only one who can scold me, fight with me, and love me — all at the same time. Though we are more like friends, I think it's a blessing and a gift from God to have a daughter.'
