Pattie Boyd Throws Drink on Flirting Woman

Model and photographer Pattie Boyd, now 82, has opened up about a dramatic incident in Australia where she threw a glass of vodka and tonic on a woman who was flirting with her then-husband, Eric Clapton. In a candid conversation on the podcast Miss O’Dell: Abbey Road To Tulsa Time with Chris O’Dell, Boyd recalled the moment that never made headlines due to limited news travel at the time.

The Incident in Australia

Boyd explained that there were many women who would pursue their husbands, but she usually handled it gracefully. However, one encounter in Australia pushed her over the edge. “This was in Australia,” she said. “News didn't travel then, obviously... She was coming onto Eric, and it was just really pissing me off.” Boyd admitted she threw her drink on the woman, drenching her in vodka and tonic.

Romantic History and Biopic

Boyd, who was married to George Harrison of The Beatles for over a decade before marrying Eric Clapton, also discussed the upcoming four-film biopic about The Beatles. Despite actress Aimee Lou Wood being cast to play her, Boyd revealed she has not been contacted by the filmmakers. “Now, I might be completely wrong, but I would have thought it would be polite to mention it to me or let me know — if they've got someone who's going to be playing me, wouldn't you think they'd let me know? But I haven't been contacted by anyone,” she told People Magazine. She added that she would have shared stories, but perhaps the makers wanted a different narrative.
