Priyanka Chopra Joins Orlando Bloom in Survival Thriller 'Reset'

Priyanka Chopra is on a roll. Just a day after the release of her spy thriller 'Citadel' Season 2, the actress has landed her next film. According to Deadline, Chopra has been cast opposite Orlando Bloom in the upcoming survival thriller 'Reset', directed by Matt Smukler. The film is scheduled to go into production in August, and Chopra will also serve as a co-producer.

As per the report, the film, written by Jordan Rawlins, follows a woman played by Chopra who wakes up in the middle of the wilderness, days from civilisation, with no memory of how she got there. Her only chance at survival is to trust a charming stranger portrayed by Bloom, who may not be who he claims to be. The plot weaves together elements of survival, romance, suspense, and deceit, with shocking twists that promise to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Director Matt Smukler shared his excitement about the casting, stating, 'I was looking for a pairing where attraction and mistrust could effortlessly coexist. Priyanka and Orlando have this uncanny ability to make you believe both at once. Their chemistry is undeniable.' Producers Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber added, 'Jordan Rawlins and Matt Smukler have created a gripping story of survival, romance, suspense, and deceit, replete with shocking twists, and we’re thrilled to have partnered with Priyanka and Orlando to bring it to the screen.'

Priyanka Chopra's Upcoming Film Slate

Chopra, who debuted Season 2 of 'Citadel' on Wednesday, will also be seen in SS Rajamouli's 'Varanasi'. She plays the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu in the film, which is currently in production and has a few more weeks of shooting before wrapping up. According to reports, the team is currently shooting in India and will soon head to Antarctica to shoot the next schedule on the Ross Ice Shelf, becoming one of the first film crews to shoot at that location. 'Varanasi' is scheduled for theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
