Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan celebrated his birthday on January 10, receiving an outpouring of love from fans and family. The most touching tributes, however, came from two pivotal father figures in his life: his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, and his former father-in-law, veteran actor Sanjay Khan.
Fatherly Love from Rakesh Roshan
Marking his son's special day, Rakesh Roshan took to Instagram to share a warm and affectionate message. He posted a creatively edited picture that showed the present-day Hrithik hugging a younger version of himself, symbolizing his cinematic journey. Accompanied by the image was a simple yet powerful note that read, "Duggu love you more every year. Happy birthday!" The post quickly garnered attention from fans and colleagues alike.
Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh was among those who joined in the celebrations, commenting, "Happiest birthday dear @hrithikroshan" on the post. The social media gesture from Rakesh Roshan highlighted the close-knit bond the father-son duo shares, both personally and professionally.
A Nostalgic Note from Sanjay Khan
In a separate and deeply personal Instagram post, Hrithik's former father-in-law, Sanjay Khan, penned a lengthy, heartfelt message. He reminisced about first meeting Hrithik when the actor was just a teenager, introduced by his son Zayed Khan. Sanjay Khan recalled a specific anecdote where he needed advice on buying a new bicycle for his morning rides.
"With a grin, he replied, 'Hrithik's your guy for advice on that,'" Sanjay wrote about Zayed's recommendation. True to the word, Hrithik visited him one morning and delivered a detailed explanation about the latest bicycle models, including the trendy three-speed gear systems. Sanjay was impressed by the young man's "crystal clear, precise, and delivered with a quiet, sincere confidence." He added that he had no idea this knowledgeable teenager would later marry his daughter, Sussanne Khan.
Graceful Bonds and Future Projects
Sanjay Khan's note also shed light on the dignified relationship Hrithik maintains with his ex-wife Sussanne and their family. He praised his daughter and spoke lovingly of his grandsons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. "Their separation was graceful, never bitter," he stated, adding that he proudly jokes to friends about Sussanne gifting Hrithik "two aces of spades" in their sons.
Hrithik Roshan, who began his career with child roles in the 1980s and worked as an assistant director for his father, skyrocketed to fame with his leading debut in 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai' in 2000. Over the decades, he has cemented his status as a top star with iconic films like 'Koi... Mil Gaya', 'Krrish', 'Jodhaa Akbar', and 'War'.
The actor is now busy preparing for his next big venture. He is currently gearing up to make his directorial debut with the highly anticipated sequel 'Krrish 4', a project that has fans eagerly waiting for more updates.
