A 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped at a dinner party in Bengaluru, leading to the arrest of five individuals, police said on Saturday.
Incident Details
According to the complaint, the woman attended a dinner party on Friday night where she was allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted. After regaining consciousness, she managed to escape and called the police emergency helpline (112).
The police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Karnataka Police Act. The five accused were taken into custody and are being interrogated.

Senior police officials said the investigation is ongoing and further details will be revealed after the accused are produced before a magistrate. The woman has been provided with medical and legal assistance.
