Sakshi Tanwar on Ekta Kapoor's Reaction to Her Dance

Actress Sakshi Tanwar, beloved for her role as the 'sanskari' bahu Parvati in the iconic television show "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii," recently revealed a fun fact about herself: she is a party animal at heart. During her appearance on the popular chat show "Koffee With Karan," host and filmmaker Karan Johar shared an anecdote about a dance sequence where Sakshi let loose, almost resembling the legendary dancer Helen.

Sakshi's Love for Dancing

Reacting to Karan's revelation, Sakshi admitted her passion for dancing. She recalled a specific incident from the show's storyline when her character's daughter was in jail, and only she knew about it. A garba event was happening in the house, and she felt an urge to dance. "I asked the director if I could dance, but he said no," Sakshi shared. However, her co-actors later convinced the director to allow her a small dancing act.

The Director's Approval

The director eventually agreed, saying, "Okay, in the next shot, Shilpa will come and pull you, and you just do a little dancing act there." Sakshi admitted that she got carried away during the performance. "I just got carried away," she remembered.

Ekta Kapoor's Reaction

Sakshi revealed that when producer Ekta Kapoor saw the shot, she was very upset. "That's what we keep telling each other: if a rival channel wants to pull down the TRPs, they just need to record Parvati Bhabhi dancing," Sakshi joked. The show, created by Ekta Kapoor under her home banner, starred Sakshi and Kiran Karmarkar as the lead pair Parvati and Om Agarwal. The cast also included Ali Asgar as Kamal Agarwal, Anup Soni as Suyash Mehra, and Shweta Kawatra or Achint Kaur as Pallavi Agarwal, among others.

Show's Success

"Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii" consistently ranked among the top three Indian television shows during its run, cementing its place in the hearts of viewers.
