Television couple Sambhavna Seth and Avinash Dwivedi have welcomed twins through surrogacy after a decade of marriage. The actress shared an emotional vlog on her YouTube channel documenting the birth of a baby girl and a baby boy. After several failed IVF attempts and a miscarriage, the couple's joy knew no bounds as they held their newborns.
Early Labor and Rush to Hospital
The vlog begins with Sambhavna informing viewers that the surrogate mother had gone into labor earlier than expected. She expressed stress, saying, "We had a delivery date fixed, but we didn't expect it to happen so soon. Our tickets were not booked, and this is the first time we are traveling without pre-booked tickets. We were scheduled to fly the day after tomorrow." The couple rushed to the hospital, uncertain if they would make it in time.
Arrival at the Hospital
Upon reaching the hospital, Sambhavna and Avinash quickly changed into surgical attire to enter the operation theater. The doctors attempted to delay the delivery, but the process was progressing rapidly. Sambhavna admitted feeling scared and unsure if they would be present for the birth.
Legal Restrictions Regarding Surrogacy
Sambhavna explained that, as per the law, they were not allowed to see the surrogate mother, nor was she permitted to see them. "The doctor instructed us to ensure we don't see the surrogate, as that is not allowed. Similarly, she cannot see us," she revealed.
Cutting the Umbilical Cord
In the operation theater, Sambhavna gathered her courage and cut her baby's umbilical cord. The emotional moment overwhelmed her, and she broke down in tears. The doctors announced the arrival of a baby girl, and then surprised her with news of a second baby—a boy. She was stunned, as they had not been informed about twins.
Emotional Breakdown
Sambhavna cried inconsolably, and Avinash tried to calm her. She shared, "I wished for a baby girl, and God blessed us with a girl and a boy. The doctors didn't tell us we were having twins. They gave us two children. Our family is complete." Avinash also became teary-eyed witnessing her emotion.
Surprise Twins
The couple was overjoyed to see their newborns. Avinash said, "I don't know what to call this feeling. We talk about nine emotions, but I've never experienced anything like this." He noted that their daughter was born a minute before their son, making her the eldest. Sambhavna had always manifested a daughter, and their wish came true twofold.
Reflecting on IVF Journey
Sambhavna recalled her multiple IVF procedures at the same hospital. "So many IVF procedures have happened here. I used to come, laugh, and talk to everyone. After 10 years of waiting, this moment has arrived. Ten years ago, we dreamed of this day, but I never imagined I would feel this way. I gathered all my courage and watched the entire process. When I cut the umbilical cord, I felt like I was in a different world."
Meeting the Twins
The couple held their twins, with Avinash initially scared. He called his parents and sister to share the news, and everyone rejoiced over a video call. He asked them to quickly look at the newborns before they were shifted to the NICU. After leaving the operation theater, Sambhavna and Avinash embraced each other, overwhelmed with happiness.
