Earlier this week, a statue was inaugurated in honor of the legendary musician Ozzy Osbourne at France's Hellfest. While many attended, his wife, Sharon Osbourne, could not due to a brief health scare.
Sharon Osbourne's Unexpected Hospital Visit
On her social media account, the 73-year-old admitted she regretted missing the event but had an unexpected doctor's visit that same day. Her post read: "I'm sorry I couldn't be at Hellfest for the unveiling of Ozzy's statue. Unfortunately, I had an unexpected trip to the hospital earlier in the week. A big thank you to Olivier Garnier, Ben Barbaud and everyone at Hellfest. Special thank you to @philippe_pasqua_officiel for the absolutely stunning statue!" The post included a video of the statue unveiling.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, at age 76 from a cardiac arrest, after suffering from coronary problems and Parkinson's disease. Sharon did not provide details about her hospital visit.
AI Avatar Controversy
Before this, Sharon made headlines when it was revealed that an AI avatar of the late singer would be created. Trained on his voice, the avatar will respond from a set of instances to provide an authentic experience. Their son, Jack Osbourne, supported digitizing his father's legacy, though the decision faced backlash online, with many calling it unnecessary.
Sharon's Previous Hospitalizations
Her last hospital visit was in 2022 when she fainted while filming. On 'The Talk', she said: "It was the weirdest thing. I was doing some filming, and suddenly they told me that I passed out for 20 minutes. And I was in the hospital, I went to one hospital, they took me to another hospital, and I did every test over two days, and nobody knows why." She also was hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19 and is currently in remission from colon cancer after extensive treatment. No further updates on her health have been provided.
