TCA Sends Legal Notices to Vijay Deverakonda, Venkatesh, Siraj Over TG20 League
TCA Legal Notices to Vijay Deverakonda, Venkatesh, Siraj

The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has reportedly issued legal notices to several prominent figures from the entertainment and sports industries concerning their alleged involvement with the proposed TG20 League. Among those named are actors Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh, along with cricketers Mohammed Siraj, Tilak Varma, and Ambati Rayudu.

According to reports, the notices relate to concerns raised by the association regarding the league's official status and its promotional activities. The TCA has questioned the legitimacy of the proposed competition, alleging that the tournament does not have approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Association Raises Questions Over Approval

As reported by ANI, the Telangana Cricket Association has challenged the credibility of the TG20 League. The association has alleged that the tournament lacks the necessary authorization from the BCCI. Furthermore, the TCA has raised objections about the manner in which the league is being promoted. It claims that the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is engaging with corporate groups without obtaining the required approval from the national governing body.

Concerns Over Celebrity Endorsements

The association has argued that promoting a cricket competition without official approval could constitute a violation under relevant regulations. In addition to concerns about the tournament itself, the TCA has highlighted the role played by public figures associated with the league. The association states that endorsements from celebrities can influence public perception and create a false sense of legitimacy in the eyes of fans and followers.

Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh Yet to Respond

As of now, neither Vijay Deverakonda nor Venkatesh has publicly commented on the notices or the allegations raised by the Telangana Cricket Association. Venkatesh is currently occupied with Adarsha Kutumbam, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Vijay Deverakonda, meanwhile, is working on Ranabaali, an upcoming historical action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on September 11 this year.
