Bengaluru: The cybercrime police have arrested three individuals for creating and circulating AI-generated objectionable images and videos of actress Rukmini Vasanth on social media platforms. The accused have been identified as Ravikumar (24), a resident of Chilakamukhi village in Bagalkot; Chandrakanth (33), from Kamakshipalya and originally from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga; and Ranjith (25), from Manjunathnagar.
Details of the Case
According to police officials, the fabricated images and videos were designed to portray the actress in a derogatory manner, causing damage to her reputation, violating her privacy, and subjecting her to mental distress. The accused used artificial intelligence tools to manipulate content and spread it across social media networks.
Legal Action and Investigation
The cybercrime police registered a case based on a complaint filed by the actress. During the investigation, the accused were traced and taken into custody. Further inquiries are underway to determine if more individuals were involved in the creation and distribution of the offensive material.
Authorities have urged the public to refrain from sharing such content and to report any similar incidents promptly. The police are also working to remove the objectionable material from various online platforms.
