Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump are dealing with major personal challenges at the same time, but people close to the couple say they are staying connected despite being thousands of miles apart. According to People, Woods is currently in Switzerland, where he is continuing a treatment program that began after his March arrest in Jupiter, Florida. Vanessa Trump, meanwhile, recently shared that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is working with doctors on her treatment plan.
Even though they are not together right now, a source told People that the couple remains in regular contact. The source said they continue to talk often and share details about their daily lives, something that has helped both of them get through a difficult period. The relationship first became public in March 2025, although reports said they started seeing each other around Thanksgiving 2024. Now, both are facing serious personal situations, and those close to them say their bond has become even more important.
Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump Stay Connected During Health Challenges
According to People, a source close to the couple said, “They talk and share their lives as they have been doing for the entire time they have been together.” The source added, “Their regular communication has helped both cope with these major issues and interruptions in their busy lives.” Vanessa Trump is the mother of five children from her previous marriage to Donald Trump Jr. The source said that while she has strong support from family and friends, her connection with Woods continues to play a meaningful role. “Even though Vanessa has her children and close friends, she and Tiger have a solid emotional connection. This helps both of them,” the source told People.
Woods, a 15-time major champion, is expected to remain in Europe until later this month. A judge allowed him to seek treatment outside the United States after his March arrest. Police said they found two hydrocodone pills when he was taken into custody. Woods has pleaded not guilty. The golf star has also dealt with several physical setbacks in recent years. In 2025 alone, he underwent another back procedure and surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.
Vanessa Trump announced her diagnosis on social media last month. She wrote, “I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.” She also said, “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”
