The streamer has already renewed the show for a second season, signaling strong confidence in the project.

Elle Teaser Trailer Reveals High School Story

According to Variety, the official logline for the series states that it 'follows Elle Woods in high school as we learn about the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first 'Legally Blonde' film.' The teaser trailer provides a first look at the younger version of the character, hinting at the challenges and triumphs that will define her journey.

Lexi Minetree stars as the young Elle Woods in her first leading role. She has previously appeared in smaller parts in 'Law & Order: SVU,' 'The Murdaugh Murders,' 'Crowdsource Murder,' and 'The Paramedic Who Stalked Me.' Joining her are June Diane Raphael as Elle's mother, Tom Everett Scott as her father, and a recurring guest cast that includes Chloe Wepper, David Burtka, Brad Harder, Kayla Maisonet, and Lisa Yamada.

Elle Cast and Season 2 Renewal Details

The recurring cast also features Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney, Zac Looker, Jessica Belkin, Logan Shroyer, Amy Pietz, Matt Ober, Chloe Wepper, David Burtka, Brad Harder, Kayla Maisonet, Lisa Yamada, and the late James Van Der Beek. Production on 'Elle' began in April 2025. Reese Witherspoon, who executive produces the series, marked the start of filming on Instagram with a photo of Minetree and wrote, 'Harvard was hard. High School was harder. Our new series, Elle, is now in production!'

In an exciting development for fans, 'Elle' has already been renewed for a second season before its Season 1 debut. Production for Season 2 is set to begin this spring, ensuring that viewers will have more of Elle's story to look forward to.

Laura Kittrell created the series and serves as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Caroline Dries. Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Marc Platt, Amanda Brown, and Jason Moore also serve as executive producers. Moore directed the first two episodes of the series.
