Love Insurance Kompany OTT Release Date Announced
The Pradeep Ranganathan starrer 'Love Insurance Kompany' is set to make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video on May 6, 2026. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the sci-fi romantic comedy had a theatrical release on April 10, 2026, and is now expanding its reach to a wider audience through the streaming platform.
A Unique Sci-Fi Love Story Set in 2040
The film is set in the year 2040, presenting a futuristic world with a distinctive narrative twist. It follows Vasu, also known as Vibe Vassey, who hails from a village named Pasume Ulagam, meaning 'Organic World.' The story takes an intriguing turn when Vasu falls in love with Dheema, played by Krithi Shetty. However, a predictive app suggests that their relationship is doomed to fail, turning their love into a challenge against the system. The company behind the app intervenes, attempting to separate the couple. 'Love Insurance Kompany' essentially portrays a battle between organic emotions and artificially created technological interference.
OTT Release Details
The film will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from May 6, 2026. Announcing the release, the platform shared the caption, 'When it's old school vs modern rules, of course there's a high premium.' The movie features a strong supporting cast including S. J. Suryah, Yogi Babu, Seeman, Sunil Reddy, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra, and Malavika in key roles.
Box Office Performance Declines
The film experienced a significant slowdown at the box office in its later weeks. On Day 21, it collected only Rs 6 lakh, marking one of its lowest single-day earnings since release. According to Sacnilk, the Tamil net collection for Day 21 stood at Rs 6 lakh, indicating that the film is nearing the end of its theatrical run. The collection trend shows a steady decline over the past week: Day 16 recorded Rs 57 lakh, followed by Rs 58 lakh on Day 17. However, Day 18 saw a sharp drop to Rs 27 lakh, which remained unchanged on Day 19. The downward trend continued with Day 20 collecting Rs 13 lakh, and Day 21 dropping further to Rs 6 lakh.
