Star-Studded Cast and Crew
Helmed by director Paul George, 'Kattalan' is being produced by the same banner that delivered the hit film 'Marco'. The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast that goes beyond its two leads.
The film features an impressive lineup including Rajisha Vijayan, Rapper Baby Jean, and popular Telugu actor Sunil, who is renowned for his roles in blockbusters like the 'Pushpa' franchise and Rajinikanth's 'Jailer'. The supporting cast is equally formidable, featuring Kabir Duhan Singh alongside veteran Malayalam actors Jagadeesh and Siddique. The team has also onboarded actors Parth Tiwari, Anson Paul, and Shon Joy.
Technical Brilliance and International Shoot
The film's music is being composed by the acclaimed Ajaneesh Loknath, who gained nationwide fame for his stellar work in the blockbuster 'Kantara'. The screenplay for 'Kattalan' has been collaboratively penned by Paul George, Joby Varghese, and Jero Jacob.
The technical team is a powerhouse of talent. Sharief is handling the choreography, while Dhanya Balakrishnan serves as the costume designer. The cinematography is managed by Renadive, and the editing is in the capable hands of Shameer Muhammed.
In a recent development, the film completed an extensive international shooting schedule in Thailand. This overseas segment, which commenced on October 1, was packed with high-octane stunt sequences. These action pieces were choreographed by the world-renowned action director Kecha Khamphakdee, famous for his work on the iconic 'Ong-Bak' film series.
The shoot was not without its challenges. During one particularly intense sequence involving an elephant, lead actor Antony Varghese sustained an injury. However, thanks to the swift efforts and professionalism of the stunt team, the filming schedule continued without any significant delays, ensuring the project stays on track.
