On the occasion of World Laughter Day, The Great Indian Kapil Show aired a special episode featuring stand-up comedian Samay Raina and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia as guests. The episode was a laugh riot with host Kapil Sharma pulling Samay and Ranveer's leg over their India's Got Talent controversy. Samay took the entertainment quotient of the show a notch higher with his hilarious jokes. From Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh to Sunil Pal, he did not spare anyone. Kapil roasting Samay and Ranveer: Kapil welcomed the stars on the TGIKS stage and joked they were the most searched celebrities last year due to their India's Got Talent controversy. He said, "Accha internet par toh log search kar he rahe the, alag alag rajyon ki police bhi inko search kar rahi thi." Kapil even trolled them hilariously. "Would you like some tea, coffee, or anticipatory bail?" Kapil asked.
Joke on Sidhu
Samay's funny joke on Sidhu: When Kapil asked Samay about last year and how it went, the standup comedian cracked a hilarious punchline. He said, "It was a weird year. There are only two people in the studio who have been to the Supreme Court: us and Sidhu paaji." His joke left everyone in splits of laughter.
Samay Revealed That Kapil Called Him a Day Before His Latent Controversy
When Samay revealed Kapil called him before the Latent controversy: During the episode, when Ranveer asked Kapil if he ever watched India's Got Talent, Kapil revealed he loved the show and had even called Samay asking, "How's there not a single case against you?" Samay revealed that the day his show was shut down, he had received a call from Kapil. He told Samay over the phone that something bad would happen to him. Kapil shared that he tried to alert him based on his experience.
Samay Roasts Kapil: "Kapil Sir Also Stopped Tweeting Around Then"
Samay roasted Ranveer and Kapil - "We waited for Kapil sir to tweet': Samay was in full form and when Kapil asked them to be careful with jokes, the standup comedian responded, "Maine toh sambhal ke kiya tha sir..(I was careful back then also." This left Kapil bursts into laughter. He did not stop here and stated that he was waiting for some other controversy to explode. He said, "We were waiting for something else to happen. Kapil sir also stopped tweeting around then. Do hafte joh shanti thi na, Udit Narayan also stopped kissing people."
Samay Joked: "The Entire Past Year, I Kept Thinking About Death Because of Ranveer"
Kapil Sharma and Samay Raina take a dig at Ranveer for his questions: Taking a jibe at Ranveer, Kapil said, "Aaj mere bhai ne kum rakha hai warna ye maut ke baad ka bhi poochta hai ye. Duniya mein do he log hai joh maut ke baare mein baat karte hain, ek LIC waale aur ek Ranveer. Isliye iske podcast mein bade buzurg nahi jaate." Referring to their India's Got Talent controversy aftermath, Samay quipped, "He asked me last year if I ever think about death. I obviously didn't but the entire past year, I kept thinking about death because of him."
Samay Gets Shocked to See Sunil Pal on the Show
Samay Raina looked very shocked when Sunil Pal arrived as a guest. Samay greeted Sunil with respect. Kapil welcomed Sunil on stage and asked him the reason for calling Samay 'comedy's terrorist'. Samay adds, "Sir, he really went after us back then..." Sunil goes on to express his dislike for Samay's comedy. He says, "It would have been better if he had thrown grenades from his mouth, because what actually comes out of him is unbearable. And joh samajh mein nahi aata woh samaj mein nahi aata, so anyone who doesn't belong in society is basically a terrorist."
Samay: "Maine Gaaliyan Inke Comments Se Seekhi Maine"
Samay and Sunil both refuse to let it go and take digs at each other. Samay jokes that he doesn't have any problem with Sunil or the statements he made against him, the only issue he has is why Sunil doesn't brush his teeth. When Kapil and Archana both ask Sunil if he has forgiven Samay Raina, the latter says, "Well in a classy gathering you remember Ghalib. In their (Samay's) gathering, it's just nonstop abuse." Samay responds with a strong comeback, "Whatever abusive words I have learned, it is from Sunil Pal's videos, from comments on his videos."
"Ye Humesha Chappal Mein Ghoomte Hain, Joota Toh Inko Pad Jaata Hai"
Samay took another dig, "Mujhe Sunil bhai ek number lagte hain, Dus mein se." Their attacks did not stop there. When Kapil asks Sunil about arriving at his movie's premiere in chappals, Samay says, "Ye humesha chappal mein ghoomte hain, joota toh inko pad jaata hai kahin se (He always wears flip-flops. He only sees shoes when they are thrown at him.)" He adds, "He (Sunil Pal) has said so many things about us. My mom would be proud of me this time."
