According to Deadline, Reedus shared his message after returning from Mongolia and sifting through photographs from the final episode. He admitted that selecting which images to post was challenging because the experience held such deep personal significance. The pictures captured Reedus in costume, holding a blood-stained clapperboard, and embracing members of the cast and crew.

Reedus described the team as “the best I’ve ever worked with” and expressed that the sense of accomplishment after filming concluded was “just amazing.” He also informed fans that the season demanded intense effort and unwavering commitment. “It was a special season,” Reedus wrote, adding, “It hits just way different this time.”

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4 Details

Reedus first appeared as Daryl in the third episode of The Walking Dead in 2010. The crossbow-wielding survivor quickly became one of the franchise’s most recognizable figures, despite not originating in Robert Kirkman’s comic books. Reedus remained with the flagship series until its 2022 finale.

The spinoff premiered in 2023 and followed Daryl after he washed ashore in France. His attempts to return home led him across Europe and eventually reunited him with Carol Peletier, played by Melissa McBride. The third season shifted much of the action to Spain.

The final season will consist of eight episodes, making it the longest installment of the series. AMC has yet to announce a confirmed premiere date. The new episodes will bring the European chapter of Daryl and Carol’s journey to a close, while the broader Walking Dead universe continues through other projects.
