Speaking to approximately 1,000 participants during a town hall meeting at Vedanta Aluminium's Jharsuguda plant in Odisha, Bedi shared her extensive experiences and emphasized the critical importance of increasing women's participation in the workforce. The gathering included women entrepreneurs, professionals, and workers who gathered to hear insights from India's pioneering female police officer.
"The nation needs more institutions like Vedanta that use resources responsibly and drive growth with purpose," declared Dr Bedi during her address. "Women must stay committed to learning, lead with empathy, and connect with people by listening and understanding before correcting."
