The Uttar Pradesh government is set to modernize Ayush education with an initiative to develop 51 smart classrooms across 17 Ayurveda and Homeopathy medical colleges. This upgrade aims to integrate technology with traditional systems of medicine, enhancing the learning experience for students.
Smart Classroom Features
According to Ayush director general and mission director Chaitra V, the classrooms will be equipped with interactive flat panels, audio-video systems, and digital learning tools. These resources are intended to improve classroom engagement and provide access to online educational resources. "Modern digital resources are essential to ensure students pursuing Indian systems of medicine are able to access contemporary modes of learning and research," she stated. The smart classrooms will support real-time interaction, multimedia-based teaching, and online learning modules.
Learning Management System
A learning management system (LMS) will be introduced to create a centralized digital platform connecting Ayush institutions. Through the LMS, students will be able to access study material, assignments, online lectures, and progress reports on a single platform. A digital repository of academic content will also be created, allowing students to access learning material remotely.
Colleges Involved
Smart classrooms will be established in homeopathic medical colleges in Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Ghazipur, Moradabad, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, and Aligarh, as well as in Ayurvedic institutions in select cities. This initiative reflects the government's resolve to blend traditional knowledge with modern technology, ensuring that students of Indian systems of medicine are well-prepared for contemporary healthcare challenges.
