Vijayawada: The state government on Tuesday released an additional Rs 919.13 crore towards pending dues to private hospitals empanelled under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust. This move is part of the government's ongoing efforts to clear outstanding payments and strengthen healthcare service delivery in Andhra Pradesh.
Bill Discounting Mechanism Facilitates Payments
According to NTR Vaidya Seva Trust CEO KVN Chakradhar Babu, 782 out of 785 private hospitals applied for pending payments through the Tri-Party Bill Discounting Agreement mechanism. To expedite the settlement process, the government adopted this mechanism following requests from hospital managements. Payment applications were processed through the Andhra Pradesh Centre for Financial Systems and Services (APCFSS) bill discounting portal.
Tri-Party Agreements Streamline Dues
Agreements were executed among the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, hospital managements, and the Power Finance Corporation, enabling the dues to be directly credited into hospital accounts. This streamlined process ensures faster and more transparent disbursal of funds.
Coalition Government's Commitment to Healthcare
Chakradhar Babu said that since assuming office, the coalition government has paid a total of Rs 5,556 crore to private hospitals associated with the Trust. With the latest release of Rs 919.13 crore, the government continues its efforts to ensure timely payments and strengthen healthcare service delivery in the state. The NTR Vaidya Seva Trust plays a crucial role in providing medical services to underprivileged patients through private hospitals.
This significant payment underscores the government's dedication to resolving long-standing dues and maintaining a robust healthcare network for the benefit of the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.
