AIIMS Bhubaneswar Announces Major Leadership Reshuffle with New Appointments

In a significant administrative overhaul, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar has announced a comprehensive leadership reshuffle with several key appointments taking effect this week. The changes mark a strategic realignment of the premier medical institution's administrative structure, bringing experienced faculty members into crucial leadership roles.

New Medical Superintendent Appointment

Professor of anatomy, Dr Prabhas Ranjan Tripathy, has been appointed as the new medical superintendent of AIIMS Bhubaneswar. This appointment represents a pivotal change in the institution's administrative leadership, with Dr Tripathy bringing his extensive academic and clinical experience to this critical position overseeing hospital operations and patient care services.

Transition of Previous Leadership

The outgoing medical superintendent, radiation oncologist Dr Dillip Kumar Parida, has transitioned to the position of dean (academic). Dr Parida has a long-standing association with AIIMS Bhubaneswar, having joined as a founding faculty member and head of the department of radiation oncology in 2013. His tenure as medical superintendent spanned two significant periods: 2016-2017 and 2022-2026, during which he oversaw substantial growth and development of the institution's clinical services.
