The story continued during the second counseling round when he gained entry into the Cardiology department at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College in Kanpur, which he formally joined.
Dr Sharma provided insights into Dr Arif's professional conduct, noting that he maintained a normal demeanour throughout his time at the medical college. He worked as an ordinary doctor within the department without drawing any special attention to himself.

Fellow doctor Dr Abhishek, who worked alongside Arif, offered additional perspective on their working arrangement. He confirmed that they had separate rooms and emphasized that he never witnessed Arif involved in any suspicious activities during their time together.

This senior medical professional reportedly assisted Arif in finding a rental accommodation in Kanpur's Ashok Nagar area.
